Situado num antigo aer\u00f3dromo utilizado pelo ex\u00e9rcito estado-unidense durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial, o Sebring International Speedway \u00e9 o circuito permanente mais antigo dos EUA: recebeu a sua primeira corrida em 1950. A pista \u00e9 r\u00e1pida, mas muito irregular, e apresenta diferentes tipos de superf\u00edcies.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Para esta nova campanha do FIA WEC foram introduzidas importantes novidades. Durante o defeso do inverno, a Michelin trabalhou para preparar esta corrida inaugural na Florida, assim como todas as seis provas que, este ano, comp\u00f5em o calend\u00e1rio do campeonato.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Gama MICHELIN Pilot Sport para o FIA WEC 2022<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Hypercars<br \/>\n<\/strong>Esta categoria, que se estreou em 2021, conta com prot\u00f3tipos com sistema de propuls\u00e3o h\u00edbrido (Toyota Gazoo Racing, Peugeot Sport), e com motores de combust\u00e3o interna (Alpine Elf Team, Glickenhaus Racing). No in\u00edcio do ano passado, a Michelin apresentou uma nova gama de pneus desenvolvida para estes carros, que agora constituem a classe rainha, adaptados \u00e0 tecnologia, ao peso e \u00e0s presta\u00e7\u00f5es destes novos prot\u00f3tipos. S\u00e3o os primeiros pneus de competi\u00e7\u00e3o desenvolvidos de forma virtual, num simulador, sem utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o de um autom\u00f3vel real afina\u00e7\u00e3o a sua especifica\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOs resultados que obtivemos durante a temporada de 2021 demonstram o excelente trabalho realizado pelos engenheiros da Michelin Motorsport neste novo pneu para a classe Hypercar, desenvolvido fazendo uso, unicamente, de ferramentas digitais\u201d, refere Pierre Alves, diretor dos Programas de Corridas de Resist\u00eancia da Michelin. \u201cDeste modo, e ap\u00f3s consultarmos os organizadores do campeonato e a FIA, a decis\u00e3o tomada em consequ\u00eancia foi continuar com os mesmo para a temporada de 2022, apesar nas numerosas altera\u00e7\u00f5es introduzidas na categoria\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Novidades na classe Hypercar para 2022<br \/>\n<\/strong>Toyota Gazoo Racing: mudan\u00e7a nas medidas dos pneus<\/p>\n<p>Os Toyota GR010-Hybrid passam dos pneus 31\/71-18 nas quatro rodas para a montagem assim\u00e9trica a utilizar nos pr\u00f3ximos prot\u00f3tipos LMDh: 29\/71-18 na frente e 34\/71-18 atr\u00e1s. A Michelin trabalhou em estreita colabora\u00e7\u00e3o com o fabricante japon\u00eas para proporcionar-lhe os pneus mais adequados \u00e0s presta\u00e7\u00f5es destes prot\u00f3tipos, que agora montam pneus mais largos no eixo traseiro do que no eixo dianteiro.<\/p>\n<p>Glickenhaus Racing: sem altera\u00e7\u00f5es<\/p>\n<p>Os carros do produtor e realizador cinematogr\u00e1fico norte-americano, James Glickenhaus, tamb\u00e9m utilizar\u00e3o pneus MICHELIN 29\/71-18 no eixo dianteiro e 34\/71-18 no eixo traseiro. A decis\u00e3o de manter as mesmas medidas foi tomada com base nos resultados obtidos pelos prot\u00f3tipos com motor V8 biturbo na passada \u00e9poca.<\/p>\n<p>Equipa Alpine Elf: dos pneus LM P1 aos pneus Hypercar<\/p>\n<p>Ainda que o Alpine A480 Gibson continue a montar pneus de medida 31\/71-18, trocar\u00e1 os pneus LM P1, que utilizou em 2021, pelos da classe Hypercar. Um programa de testes espec\u00edfico com a Michelin permitiu \u00e0 equipa Alpine Elf trabalhar na afina\u00e7\u00e3o do carro para a nova configura\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>Peugeot Sport: trabalho personalizado<\/p>\n<p>Ainda n\u00e3o se sabe a data em que o Peugeot 9X8 far\u00e1 a sua estreia na competi\u00e7\u00e3o. Quanto tal acontecer, estar\u00e1 equipado com pneus 31\/71-18 em ambos os eixos. A Michelin colaborou de perto com a marca francesa no desenvolvimento do seu novo prot\u00f3tipo, tanto na fase de simula\u00e7\u00e3o, como na de testes em pista.<\/p>\n<p>Os pneus para os carros da categoria Hypercar estar\u00e3o dispon\u00edveis em tr\u00eas tipos de composto: soft, medium e hard. Esta classifica\u00e7\u00e3o permite que as estrat\u00e9gias de corrida sejam mais f\u00e1ceis de interpretar e, ao mesmo tempo, manter a no\u00e7\u00e3o de uma \u201cjanela de temperatura de funcionamento\u201d, ainda que estas se sobreponham. Por exemplo, um composto pode oferecer uma performance \u00f3tima para temperaturas de pista entre 10\u00b0C e 25\u00b0C, enquanto que outro pode cobrir um espectro de 20\u00b0C a 40\u00b0C. Esta nomenclatura tamb\u00e9m facilita o di\u00e1logo entre os engenheiros, assim como no seio das pr\u00f3prias equipas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pneus para chuva<br \/>\n<\/strong>De acordo com os regulamentos, todos os prot\u00f3tipos da classe Hypercar poder\u00e3o escolher entre os dois tipos de pneus de chuva que a Michelin introduziu para o Campeonato do Mundo de 2021. O primeiro \u00e9 um pneu DRYING WET, que cobre uma ampla gama de temperaturas e condi\u00e7\u00f5es, desde asfalto h\u00famido a seco.<\/p>\n<p>Em caso de chuva mais intensa, ou se a pista ficar coberta com uma pel\u00edcula de \u00e1gua cada vez maior, os pilotos podem optar pelo pneu FULL WET, que conta com um composto de borracha desenvolvido especificamente para estas condi\u00e7\u00f5es. Estes dois pneus de chuva cobrem todas as situa\u00e7\u00f5es que os pilotos podem encontrar no FIA WEC, tanto nas corridas realizadas na Europa, como nas provas intercontinentais.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Novos pneus para as classes Le Mans GTE Pro e GTE Am<br \/>\n<\/strong>A Michelin desenvolveu uma gama de pneus slick completamente nova para as competitivas categorias LM GTE Pro e LM GTE Am.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTendo em conta que carros de LM GTE Pro e GTE Am evolu\u00edram muito nos \u00faltimos anos, quisemos oferecer algo de novo aos nossos parceiros em ambas as classes\u201d, explica Pierre Alves. \u201cO nosso trabalho centrou-se, principalmente, em alcan\u00e7ar uma performance consistente, com o intuito de proporcionar o melhor equil\u00edbrio poss\u00edvel \u00e0 medida que os pneus se desgastam. Tamb\u00e9m trabalh\u00e1mos em fun\u00e7\u00e3o do perfil dos circuitos que comp\u00f5em o calend\u00e1rio, como fizemos na temporada de 2020, quando introduzimos tr\u00eas tipos de compostos, j\u00e1 que os nossos parceiros pediram que fiz\u00e9ssemos o mesmo para 2022. Tal como na classe Hypercar, os fabricantes implicados s\u00e3o clientes de equipamento de origem, pelo que desfrutamos de uma rela\u00e7\u00e3o especial com cada uma das equipas, e proporcionamos-lhes um elevado n\u00edvel de servi\u00e7o\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Os tr\u00eas tipos de pneus dispon\u00edveis para os carros das classes GTE Pro e GTE Am s\u00e3o os seguintes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Soft \u2013 clima frio<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Soft \u2013 clima quente<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Medium \u2013 clima quente<\/p>\n<p>Os pneus de chuva dispon\u00edveis para estes carros (DRYING WET e FULL WET) s\u00e3o id\u00eanticos aos da temporada passada. Todos os carros das classes Le Mans GTE Pro e Le Mans GTE Am est\u00e3o equipados com as mesmas medidas de pneus: 30\/68-18 e 31\/71-18, nos eixos dianteiro e traseiro, respetivamente.<\/p>\n<p>Para as 1000 Milhas de Sebring, os novos pneus GTE estiveram dispon\u00edveis para as equipas da classe LM GTE Pro. Os carros da classe LM GTE Am utilizar\u00e3o a gama de 2022 a partir da segunda ronda do FIA WEC, as 6 Horas de Spa-Francorchamps (B\u00e9lgica, 7 de maio).<\/p>\n<div
